Sunset
After returning from the beach and waiting for the others to get home, Steve and Jordan decided to try and catch some waves on their boogie boards before it got dark. I stayed behind, editing photos and blogging and enjoying the quite peacefulness that comes with being alone. The sun was setting and the sky turned a beautiful shade of peach. The dark shadows of the trees created a stark contrast. Again, beautiful.
With the exception of a black vignette and some cropping, these pictures are straight out of camera.
Beach Day
We are on day 5 of our Hawaiian vacation yet today was the first day we actually spent time at the beach. Crazy right? Glenn, Lisa and Cherish ventured up to the volcano and Steven and I stayed behind to do a little venturing of our own. Just a few blocks from our home we found a great beach. It didn't have a fancy name, just a small sign that said "public access" and it was pretty secluded. After arriving, we walked down this amazing jungle path to the beach. It was grassy and right on the water. It was a series of pools fed by fresh water streams. Steve and I read our books and did some swimming and exploring. I even got a little sunburned (finally!)
It was perfect!
Just the two of us. On the beach.
All day.
